What's going on in Middlesex University?

                                                             21/11/11
Student Entertainment
Student life at Middlesex is about so much more than your studies - it's about the friends you make, your free time and your experiences of life in London. You have the whole capital on your doorstep at Middlesex University. But we are also unusual for a London university in offering a real campus experience, so you can socialise, relax and have fun right here on our campuses. As well as all the student-run activities on offer, we have a range of entertainments, bars, cafes and food available at the heart of our university.

Student gets award from Simpsons Creator        7/11/11
Matt Groening – a name synonymous with great animation – has awarded a student from Middlesex University a top animation prize.

Final year BA Animation student Clive Shaw picked up the Shooting People film of the month award judged by creator of the cult animated programmes The Simpsons and Futurama, Matt Groening. Clive’s piece was based on the 1960's Peter and Jane Ladybird stories from the Key Words Reading Scheme.

Matt Groening said: “Clive Shaw’s almost dialogue-free ‘Girls and Boys’ plays like a funny and slightly disturbing dream. I love it when animation does this, cramming quick jokes and reveals in a short amount of time. The memorable music by Jude Cowan and Matt Armstrong support the weird goings-on, and make the cartoon great for multiple viewings. Well done!
